How to Make Homemade Banana Nutella Uncrustables

Prepare the Bread: Use an uncrustable circle cutter to cut out circles from your bread slices. Save the scraps for other uses like bread pudding, stuffing, or croutons.
Add the Filling: On one side of 4 pieces of bread, spread about 1 tablespoon of Nutella, leaving about 1/4″ of space on the edges. Add 4 thin slices of banana on top of the Nutella.

Round, golden-brown pastries, filled with a chocolate-banana mixture, are displayed on a wooden board. One pastry is split open showing the filling. Sliced bananas and a whole banana are in the background.

Assemble the Uncrustables: Top the Nutella and banana-topped bread with the remaining circles. Use the uncrustable cutter to press the two pieces together, sealing the filling inside.
Brush with Butter: Use a pastry brush to apply melted butter on top of each assembled uncrustable.
Air Fry: Bake the uncrustables in the air fryer at 300 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Enjoy: Serve your homemade banana Nutella uncrustables warm, and enjoy the gooey, delicious filling!

How to Store Homemade Uncrustables

Once you’ve made your uncrustables, you might want to store a few for later. Here’s how to keep them fresh:
Refrigeration: Place the uncrustables in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Freezing: For longer storage, wrap each uncrustable individually in plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer-safe bag. They can be frozen for up to 2 months. To reheat, simply pop them in the air fryer for a few minutes until warmed through.

Recipe Variations

Looking to mix things up? Here are a few variations to try:
Peanut Butter Twist: Swap out the Nutella for peanut butter, and enjoy a classic flavor combination.
Strawberries: Add thin slices of strawberries along with or instead of the banana for a fruity twist.
Cinnamon Sugar: After brushing the uncrustables with butter, sprinkle them with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar before air frying for a sweet, crunchy finish.
Almond Butter: For a nutty alternative, try using almond butter instead of Nutella.
