Easy Copycat Dessert Recipes
One of my favorite things about baking is the nostalgia of familiar or family favorite recipes. The most nostalgia I get when baking is from all of these delicious and easy copycat recipes. Taking a bite of something homemade but tasting that familiar treat you remember enjoying as a kid…not to mention homemade is always better in my opinion. Better ingredients, better tasting, less processed, and the satisfying feeling of “holy sh*t I just made this from SCRATCH”. Yes, I promise that’s what you’ll be saying after any of these copycat recipes.
The best part about these recipes is that they are not only SO easy to make but you can now have your favorite classic and even discontinued treats whenever you want them. You can surprise any crowd with these homemade copycat recipes too. So whether you’re an experienced baker, an at home every once in a while baker, or total beginner, these recipes will be a breeze for you to accomplish 🙂

Creating Copycat Recipes
The key to recreating our favorite treats from scratch is to study the treat off the bat. For each of these recipes (minus the Copycat Strawberry Cheesecake Bars since they’re discontinued) I bought from the store to test and “study”. I’ve never loved studying more to be honest. I really want to capture the textures and flavors that accompany these copycat recipes. I can create a Thin Mint that tastes just like the Girl Scouts BUT if they were soft and chewy then it wouldn’t live up to its copycat name.
The second most important part to recreating these classic treats after mastering the textures and flavors is all in the presentation. Each copycat recipe needs to have a wow factor off the bat that clearly and easily resembles the nostalgic treat you used to beg your parents to buy you from the store.
